Excursions aboard the Grace Anne II offer a myriad of daytime recreational activities to excite and engage your guests. A plethora of choices abound, with something available for every interest, skill and group size.
Daytime recreational activities include fishing, hunting, trap shooting, hiking, water sports, photography tours, and much more:
FISHING
Lake of the Woods is well known for its trophy Muskie. Professional guides are provided to assist your group in locating these award-winning treasures. The lake also abounds with walleye, northern, bass and lake trout. In order to reach the richest waters in the area, you and your guests will be met at the Grace Anne II by recreation staff in 20-foot pro-fishing boats, each equipped with 175 hp engines. Each boat provides ample room for two guests and a guide, and has been outfitted with the most up-to-date Shimano fishing equipment and safety features. While waiting for the fish to take bait, we offer a chance to practice your swing on our lakeshore driving range.
After a morning of successful catches, your guests are in store for the ultimate reward - the traditional shore lunch. After a dousing of our famous secret recipe bread coating, the morning's catch is filleted and fried over an open fire.
TRAP
RANGE / SPORTING CLAYS
Whether a novice or a seasoned professional, you and your guests will enjoy the thrill of clay shooting in a range designed to mimic actual hunting situations. Spend the day shooting a round of trap on our regulation Trap Range, featuring a new ATA Wobble Trap Thrower. Recreation staff is on hand throughout the day for instruction and assistance.
HIKING
AND ATV TRAILS
Active nature-lovers will appreciate the network of hiking trails offered by the southern tip of Big Narrows Island and the Western Peninsula. Whether you choose to hike or explore the island on our Bombardier All Terrain Vehicle, these trails will put you hand in hand with the nature that surrounds.
HOT
TUB AND SAUNA
Relax and enjoy the serenity of the wilderness from the beautiful, outdoor cedar hot tub and sauna located at the lodge
CRUISING
Each day offers the opportunity to cruise among the 14,600 islands that make up Lake of the Woods.
KAYAKING
/ CANOEING
Recreation staff offers guided and independent kayak or canoe adventures in and around the many secluded bays and channels of Big Narrows Island. This is perhaps the best way to experience the serene beauty of surrounding waterways, offering a quiet getaway for reflection and relaxation.
WATER
SPORTS
There is nothing more
refreshing on a hot day than taking a plunge into cool waters. Go back to the
days of swimming off the dock of a summer home by taking the leap straight from
the deck of the Grace Anne II. The temperature of the water is perfect for
swimming, water-skiing, and knee boarding throughout the summer. Recreation
staff provides coaching if required or requested.
MEETINGS

When business is top priority, you can schedule your business meetings in our Main Saloon with break out sessions on the top deck, foredeck or fantail.
